Note: Pen To Paper is an interesting piece of radio ephemera for Ayckbourn fans. The radio series was an anthology of new works and music with different themes for each programme. Alan and his musical collaborator Paul Todd were asked to contribute towards an episode looking at travel and holidays. Alan recalls he and Paul Todd wrote two songs for programme, one of which was concerned with train travel. No other details about the programme or the songs are known and it is believed neither of the songs featured again in any other work by Alan and Paul Todd.
