In 2009, Alan Ayckbourn was a guest on the popular radio series With Great Pleasure to mark his 70th birthday. The series asks guests to name favourite books and readings; these were performed by Amanda Root and John Strickland. The programme was recorded at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.
